1rst Inversions

	Notice that when a chord is in Root Position it moves up line, line, line or space, space, space. If we take the Root of a Chord and move it up an Octave we have inverted (turned upside down) the Chord. This is called the "1rst Inversion" of a Chord. Notice that the chord is now line, line, space or space, space, line.

A Chord with the Root note on the Bottom is in Root Position.

	If we move the bottom note (Root) and the middle note (3rd) of a Chord in Root Position to the top of the Chord we now have 2nd Inversion. This will become space, line, line or line, space, space.
