How to Create A G Major Scale

1. Write the notes in the scale starting with G and ending with G.
2. Add the W-W-H-W-W-W-H pattern betweenthe adjacent, ascending notes of the scale.
3. Mark the spaces between notes whichdon't match the pattern with *.
E-F is not a Whole Step and F-G is not a Half Step.
4. Use accidentals to make the marked notesfit the pattern.
Raising F to F#makes E-F# a Whole Step and F#-Ga Half Step.
We now have a G Major Scale!!
